 Patron: His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama is spiritual leader of Tibet. 

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso was born on July 6th, 1935 in a small village in Northeastern Tibet.

He was recognized as a reincarnation of the 13th Dalai Lama at age two according Tibetan tradition. He started his religious education at age 6. In 1989, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his lifelong advocating for peace and human rights in Tibet. Read more ...www.dalailama.cm

Rinpoche was ordained as a monk at age 7 and joined Sera Jey Monastic University in Tibet at age 17. After escaping Tibet, Rinpoche moved to Sera Jey Monastic University in Bylakuppe, Mysore, south India. khen rinpoche logoan tulkuKhen Rinpoche Logoan Tulku Tenzin Jampa Choesang was born at Kalimpong (WB) India on 1st January 1969. He was recognized the reincarnation of Sera Jey Lawa Khangtsen master Jampa Choephel.  He was formally ordained and consecrated at Sera Jey Monastery at the age of 15.  Prior to his initiation, he has received formal school education till the age of 14. After successfully completing the entire monastic study curriculum and Gelug University examination, received the Lharam Geshe scholastic title in 1994. Has been appointed the abbot of Gyuto Tantric Monastery between 2011 - 2013, and abbot of Sed-Gyued Institute of Buddhist Studies, Salugara, WB, prior to his appointing the abbot of Sera Jey Monastery by His Holiness The Dalai Lama.   Read more …  www.serajeymonastery.org

Pare RinpochePare Rinpoche was recognized by the 14th Dalai Lama as his predecessor at age 9. Rinpoche started his religious education at his local monastery. He later joined Sera Jey Monastic University (SJMU) in Bylakuppe, Mysore, south India and received Geshe Lharampa degree in 1999. He joined Gyumey Tantric Monastery after Geshe program and completed Tantric studies. Later, Rinpoche was appointed by SJMU as a residential lama of Sera Jey Taiwan Center for 4 years. Rinpoche was appointed as residential lama of Sera Jey Buddhist Culture Center in New York in June of 2012 by SJMU. While not traveling for teaching, Rinpoche stays at the Dalai Lama's residence in Dharamsala doing retreat. Rinpoche is one of the most senior lamas of Sera Jey and humble and great practitioner.

Geshe Ngawang Jangchup ordained monkhood in the year 1979 at Sera Jey Monastery.  He successfully completed his monastic study curriculum in the Five Major Treaties in Buddhist Philosophy and received his Geshe Degree from Sera Jey Monastic University, Bylakuppe, south India in the year 2011. Prior to his appointing the Director of Sera Jey Buddhist Culture Center, New York, in August 2016, he has served at the center for over three years.
