He inspired generations to cultivate wisdom and compassionate action. \nIn the Tibetan Buddhist tradition\, the 49 days following the passing of a great practitioner are regarded as a deeply meaningful and sacred period. We invite you to join us in a weekly prayer session given on behalf of Bob’s swift and auspicious journey through the bardo.

DESCRIPTION:Under the guidance of Chokhor Rinpoche\, the Sera Jey Buddhist Culture Center of New York will commemorate Chökhor Düchen\, the sacred day marking the occasion when our incomparable Teacher\, Buddha Shakyamuni\, first turned the Wheel of Dharma by teaching the Four Noble Truths at Varanasi. \nOn this auspicious occasion\, a Namgyalma (Uşnişa Vijaya) Long-Life Prayer Ceremony will be offered for the long life of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and all the great non-sectarian Buddhist masters. \nWe kindly invite all faithful and devoted people to participate in this meritorious prayer.
