The First International Joint Conference by Sera Jey Monastic University and Tumkur University - March 6, 2013. Sera Jey Monastic University and Tumkur University organized the First International Joint Conference by the two universities titled 'Contemporary Human Sufferings/Wisdom of Buddha'
on Mach 6, 2013 at Tumkur University. His Holiness the Dalai Lama graciously inaugurated the first joint conference and addressed to the public. This was the first major event with Tumkur University after signing MoU, memorandum of understanding between Sera Jey Monastic University and Tumkur University on November 27, 2012. There were three speakers from Sera Jey at the conference: Geshe Lobsang Wangdu, Tenzin Gyurmey Rinpoche and Geshe Thupten Sherap. Sera Jey is looking forward for organizing similar event and exchange program with Tumkur University in future as well.
