Workshop on Buddhism

Sera Jey Monastic University has hosted a program on Buddhism for University of Wisconsin students on 14th January, 2013. Geshe Lobsang Ngodup, Director of Sera Jey Buddhist Culture Center lead this program where topics including Buddhist history, Sera Jey Monastic University in Tibet, Sera Jey in India and discussion on the Four Noble Truth, Sakyamuni Buddhist first teaching.

On November 27th 2012, Sera Jey Monastic University (SJMU) has signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Tumkur University on academic collaboration in Buddhist Studies and Research Center. His Holiness the Dalai Lama has blessed the signing and exchange of MoU ceremony.

Global College, Long Island University, USA students attended Comparative Religion and Culture program at Sera Jey Monastic Univeristy, Bylakuppe, Mysore, India in 2011 & 2012. Sera Jey Monastic University organized and provided intensive workshops on Buddhism, Tibetan monastic history and Tibetan culture for the LIU students.
